The Innovation

In the context of the project, innovative techniques for modeling and monitoring the growth of the plant, the crop, and the irrigation needs (Falagas, Karantzalos, 2019; Rozen-stein, 2018) are applied on a pilot basis, which at a global level are state-of-the-art technologies for cotton crops.

At the same time, machine learning models, which have been developed by NTUA and constitute modern scientific practice (Haghverdi, et al. 2018) will be applied to the exploitation of long-term agrometeorological and remote sensing data.
